NFL Injuries: Dallas Cowboys Get Morris Claiborne, Charlie Peprah Back At Practice

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

When you get to week 15 in the NFL, a player practicing is usually good news. Today, the Dallas Cowboys got some good news regarding a couple of injured players who have missed games in the past few weeks.

Cornerback Morris Claiborne practiced for the first time since suffering a concussion in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he also suffered a severe cut to his lip that needed several stitches. Claiborne missed last weeks game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cowboys managed to win the game but surrendered 349 yards passing to Ben Roethlisberger.

The?Dallas defense?desperately needs Claiborne to return since the?New Orleans Saints come to town this week. Drew Brees?is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and the Cowboys defense can use?all the help they can get?trying to slow?him down.

Dallas got more good news today when?safety Charlie Peprah was able to get through a full practice?as well. The safety the Cowboys picked up off the streets?in?November was a regular contributor but has missed the last three games with a foot injury.

Peprah?s absence caused the Cowboys to play Danny McCray more than they would have liked and he?s beginning to?get exposed. McCray?s been good this season but he isn?t meant to a full-time player, which was why the veteran Peprah was signed in the first place.

The returns of Claiborne and Peprah is just?in time for the Cowboys take on the high scoring Saints this weekend and the?secondary can use any boost they can get.
